Dispatch M Diesel 1000 1.6 Blue HDi 115 Enterprise
The latest Citroen Dispatch uses the same PSA platform as the Peugeot 308 and the C4 Picasso and has its sights on the Ford Transit Custom and the VW Transporter
CItroen Dispatch Enterprise
What is it?
Launched in 2016 is is part of a three model line up with the Peugeot Expert and the Toyota Proace . The Dispatch is available in three body lengths XS, M and XL and two wheel bases however only a single height roof.
All engines are Euro 6 compliant and in the form of either a 1.6 or 2.0 BlueHDi diesel engine.
For load space it does take second place compared to its rivals such as the Transit or the Vivaro. Its is also not as wide or tall however having twin side loading doors or adding the option of electric opening doors by simply waving your foot under the rear bumper does prove a great forward thinking benefit.
The Enterprise model gains you the their latest touch screen infotainment system, air conditioning and the handy load through bulkhead.
Good fuel consumption also comes as standard and the 1.6 114 bhp can return over 55mpg on the combined cycle.
It is worth bearing in mind that there is an auto option and with very few auto’s in the commercial sector this comes as good news.
A lot of thought and design has been invested in the new Dispatch for the ‘van driver’ Giving good car specification and yet a very practical space to work from.
The ride is comfortable, the economy is good and the three front seats are actually that, three front seats and not two and a half.
Lacks some of there driver feedback through the steering and the electric door option at £1000+vat is a little steep
A success and a vast improvement from the previous model. The twin side loading doors will benefit many. If you need something larger than a Berlingo / Connect but don’t want the size of the Transit then this will become a very popular choice. With some of the deals available now on leasing or contract hire it will be a very popular choice.
